GENERAL INFORMATION

of charge. For people who would prefer to order the forms directly from
the INS they should contact the INS FORMS REQUEST LINE, 24 hours a day,
at 1-800-870- 3676. It usually takes a few weeks to receive them. Whichever
way you obtain these forms you should not complete them without the assistance
of an US Immigration attorney.
Although people might question the wisdom of an US Immigration attorney "giving
away forms" for free, I look at it a bit differently. Would you walk
into a hardware store and buy wood to build the home that you are living
in if you have no training as a carpenter? Of course you could read books
on how to build a home, but would you live in that home? US Immigration attorneys,
especially those who are members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association,
study the increasingly complex US Immigration laws on a daily basis. They
also understand how the procedure works and what to do if your case gets
lost, misdirected, or delayed beyond normal processing times.

IMPORTANT
re: Adjustment of Status Change of Address Form
The Adjustment of Status Change of Address Form must be printed on both sides of a green sheet of paper or it will not be accepted. If you plan on printing and using this form, make sure you print both the front side and back side on one sheet of green paper.
